There was an abundance of Queen Anne's Lace this past year. Great to paint.
The demo was starting at 11 am and I was stretching the canvas at 10! I got there only to find quite a few guests. Everything worked out just fine and it was a lot of fun except that I kept getting in the way!
Here is the result of the demo I did for the CPAPS show held at Hartford Fine Art and Frame. The original plein air painting is on the right, a 16x16. The demo painting, a 14x14, (I know I will be sorry about that size), is on the left. It seemed right for the time..
Morning Painting everything I wanted to paint. This is the first shot, haven't gone back for more yet. Still thinking about it. 16x16 oil on canvas
Painted for a Land Trust benefit for Haley Farm in Noank, CT.

and another one!
The next day I started this one. This one took two shots instead of one. I had originally thought of doing a painting per day by moving my easel in increments full circle. I wore out my welcome though.. and the new part came in and everything changed. Oh well.
First one of a series of FarmAll Cub paintings. It got stuck down the hill here, and I took advantage of that. Usually it is quite busy.
I had planned on painting a large vista at this location, however as soon as I saw this tree stand I was hooked. I could tell they were pleased...
Two visits here.

I was all set with a 20 x 30 but the light was moving fast and I had to scale down to a 9x12. Better. Got what I wanted then. Fast and Fun.
I got there late and so the whole time I was setting up I was hearing myself say... not enough time... not enough time.. but I kept setting up anyway, and pretty soon I was painting and saying not enough time, and then there it was ...
I was done, and the park rangers were lighting my way out once again.... I think they secretly wish I would move away..
This also from my painting trip to Maine in late October. Camping.. a little chilly. You do get acclimated though. I always keep that in mind when I find myself thinking it might be too cold. It doesn't take but a day living outdoors to get comfortable with the temperature. That and enough blankets.
With evening approaching I had to work quickly. Brushtrokes a little different in this ala prima painting.
